Global Mapper - is a universal program that allows you to view, convert, translate, edit and print various maps and vector data sets. Your data can be loaded as layers, or be downloaded as a scanned topographic maps for 3D image area. The program can operate in real time, downloading data from a computer connected to the GPS receiver. Global Mapper supports a huge number of formats, has a lot of different tools and options. You can use it to calculate the distance from one object to another, sum up the contours of the image, adjust contrast and much more.
